Stoil Mirtchev was born in 1950 in Sliven, Bulgaria.
He graduated from the National Art Academy in Sofia, in the class of Prof. Poplilov. From 1977 to 1990 - Participation in all General Exhibitions of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He has organized over 15 one-man shows in Bulgaria and more than 10 - in Holland, USA, Canary islands. He has taken part in over 20 plein air for painting and sculpture. He works in the field of painting, graphic and sculpture. Some of his pictures are owned by the National Art Gallery in Sofia, Sofia City Gallery, Galleries in Kjustendil, Gabrovo, Sliven, Burgas and by private collections in Greece, Turkey, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Saint Marten and Tenerife.
